Name: Lindsey / Carr / Feeley / Lakes
This is a popular area for back-country camping, but there are a number of good spots for boondocking.
If you prefer an official campground, you can stay at the Carr Lake Campground (walk in only) or the Lindsey Lake Campground are both nearby, but usually filled with families with kids on weekends, back can be really nice mid week. Lindsey Lake has a bunch of free overflow spots a short walk from the campground.
Location:
- nice camping spot along a creek (many spots nearby, but most not along creek)
- Lindsey Lake Campground
- Nice spots along Bowman Lake road (4WD not needed)
The fastest way to Lindsey Lake campground and the dispersed camping spot above is to take Bowman Lake Rd about .2 miles past where the pavement ends and it becomes a a gravel road, and turn right at the sign pointing to “Loney Meadow”. This road is not on google maps, and is not as bad as it looks when you first turn on to it. Most of the road is fine, even for a regular car.
